Foundation Golf Outing Raises over $28,000 for Digital Mammography
The Horn Memorial Hospital Foundation held its first annual golf outing on August 26th with proceeds benefiting the hospital's digital mammography fund raising project. The success of this first-year event exceeded the expectations of the Board by raising over $28,000 and putting digital mammography fund raising totals near $150,000. Sponsorships from hospital vendors and area businesses were phenomenal with 105 individuals/businesses contributing to this worthy cause.The Foundation Board's continues to actively petition for digital mammography. The next item of business for the Foundation Board is the annual "Fall Festival" scheduled for Friday, November 4th at the Ida Grove Skate Palace. Entertainment for this year's event will be Odebolt's own, Kyle Husted, Founder and Artistic Director, of the Chicago Cabaret Project. Wayne Nielsen of First State Bank presented a generous donation of $5,000 in support of digital mammography at the Golf Outing.
