First State Bank Donates $25,000 to the HMH Foundation for Digital Mammography

Horn Memorial Hospital (HMH) Foundation was the recipient of a $25,000 donation from First State Bank. This money was given in response to the Digital Mammography Fundraiser that commenced in early November by the HMH Foundation. Linda Boerner, Chairman of the First State Bank Board of Directors, was on hand at the February 10th Foundation Board meeting for the check presentation.

Linda commented, "The First State Bank Board of Directors & the staff are aware that Digital Mammography is an important service not only for the hospital, but for the communities that the hospital serves". First State Bank hopes that their donation will inspire others to step forward in support of this worthwhile cause. The HMH Foundation reports that through employee and community donations as well as the Fall Festival, they have raised over $60,000 towards the $400,000 Digital Mammography Unit. The HMH Foundation will continue their fundraising efforts until they reach their goal.
