Horn Memorial Hospital Continues to Raise Funds for a Digital Mammography Unit

Horn Memorial Hospital's 7th Annual Girlfriend's Getaway (formerly the Women's Expo) was a huge success with over 140 women braving the rainy weather to enjoy an evening out. The women browsed 33 booths of various interests and topics, indulged in a decadent dessert buffet provided by Horn Memorial's Dietary Department, and some even went home with outstanding prizes! If that wasn't enough, mini manicures and massages donated by local businesses fulfilled the "pamper yourself, you're worth it" ambiance! Sarah Harm, Public Relations Director, commented, "This was the first year the hospital used this event as a fundraiser, raising over $5,000 towards the purchase of a Digital Mammography Unit. This additional $5,000 puts us over the $100,000 mark and a quarter of the way to our ultimate goal of $400,000. The generous support of our communities was outstanding, and as always, we are grateful."
