TOBACCO EDUCATION AND CESSATION

Vision Statement:
We envision a healthy community embracing a tobacco-free lifestyle.

Mission Statement:
To promote the health and well-being of our community through awareness, prevention and cessation of tobacco use.

Goals:
Maintain and strengthen an active tobacco free coalition in Ida County.
Promote cessation for residents of Ida County.
Reduce exposure to secondhand smoke.
Prevent the initiation of tobacco use.
Encourage policy changes that promote a tobacco-free environment.
Increase the awareness of the dangers of tobacco use and secondhand smoke.

CHIC is made up of health care professionals, school, business and community members. The coalition meets quarterly to advise and support activities.
