Vaccine for Children (VFC) Immunization Clinic


The VFC program provides vaccines for all children from birth through 18 years of age who meet one of the following criteria: Child has no health insurance coverage Child is American Indian or Alaskan Native Child is enrolled in Medicaid Child is underinsured: Underinsured means the child has some type of health insurance, but the benefit plan does not include immunizations.

Second Tuesday of the month and the following Wednesday of each month by appointment. Walk-ins will not be refused but will be served as time allows around scheduled clients.

Vaccines for Adults (VFA) Program


The VFA Program provides vaccines at no cost for uninsured and underinsured Iowa adults seeking vaccination services. VFA program vaccines are purchased with limited State and Federal funds. Most vaccines routinely recommended for adults by the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) are available through the program.

Eligible adults include those 19 years and older:

  • who have no health insurance


  • and their health insurance does not cover vaccine


  • and their health insurance has a cap on prevention services (eligible after cap is met)


  • and their health insurance does not provide first-dollar coverage for vaccines


Vaccine for Adults is available by appointment.
